Family Time

What kids need most today is the one thing busy parents have the least. Time. That’s why the first ingredient of Family TLC is Family Time. Our plan is to equip parents to utilize the time they do have in the best way possible. With dynamic family-friendly materials, families will have all they need for quality time together each week, creating valuable shared experiences in the comfort of their own home.

Family Links

Parents are in tremendous need of meaningful interaction with other like-minded parents. Family Links endeavors to satisfy this need. Dividing our participating families into geographic groups of 8 to 12 families, a designated group helper will coordinate low-cost and low-prep family get-togethers several times a year. Christmas caroling in the community, a brown bag lunch in the park, a morning racking leaves for an elderly neighbor are all ideal Family Links possibilities.

Family Celebration

The final piece of Family TLC is the Family Celebration. Families are looking for opportunities to have fun together, celebrating the small victories of life. Families participating in the Family TLC effort will have plenty to celebrate! Four times a year Harmony will host a super huge, fun filled event that’s free of charge. The Family Celebration will include music, dancing, funny skits, crazy family games, prizes, cheap concessions and loads of appeal for families who may not attend a church currently.

Families will enjoy the creative and multi-faceted teaching approach provided by Elevate Family.com. Many of our children are already big fans of a similar Elevate series on Sunday mornings, so they will like seeing the familiar faces and themes. The Elevate Family series provides the platform for downloaded, weekly, at-home Family Times including:  Bible lessons, conversation starters, themed activities, child Bible study recommendations, worship music and a list of 100 Fun Things for Your Family To Do. All materials are provided at no cost to our families.
