Alpha Kick-off Dinner is Saturday, March 3, at:00 pm at the church. Class starts on Wednesday, March 7 at 7:00 pm. The Alpha Course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith. It is designed for people who are new to the faith, new to the church and for those who feel they need a good jump start to their spiritual life.

Invite your coworkers and friends! There are brochures and invitations available for this purpose. Childcare is provided for the banquet and class.

Missions Roundtable

—led by Amelia Phillips

Topics will include how to prepare for going on the missions field and updates on how our missionaries are doing, as well as focused intercession. This season, we’ll also experiment with using Skype to have live conversation with our missionary friends when possible (dependent on time zone and technical limitations). Please call Amelia at 816-668-9149 if you would like to facilitate a topic that you are passionate about or if you have a topic that you’d like to see on the schedule.

Women’s Bible Study – James: Mercy Triumphs

—led by Sara Bailey

James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. Class is limited to 25.

This class is designed to help believers break free from issues in our lives resulting from wounds and/or sins of the past. Dr. Thompson reveals the powerful keys to break out of the man-made prisons that we have built for ourselves – prisons of fear, despression and anger. Through the process of inner healing & breaking spiritual strongholds, you will grow in your relationship with God & others and experience a new level of spiritual freedom in Christ. Marriage: Built to Last

—led by Rodger & Ashley Bowman

This isn’t your typical marriage study. Throughout the 6-week series, you’ll watch 24 real life couples share candidly about their struggles. You will hear the story of Dave & Sharon Ramsey as they recovered from financial stress and hardship. You will hear the story of Kurt & Brenda Warner share candidly about expectations, trust issues, and adjusting to a blended family.

You will also have Biblical and practical teaching rom Chip Ingram on six critical topics: Adjusting to Expectations, Learning to Communicate Clearly, Breadking Down Walls, Resolving Conflict, Restoring Sex and Intimacy, Striving for a Christ-Centered Marriage. Whether you’re newly married, remarried, or wanting to improve your relationship, Chip Ingram provides Biblical and practical teaching to give you tools to live intentionally and love Biblically. Limited space is available for 12 couples only. The last class session will meet at the Bowman’s home for dinnerChildcare is provided for this class.
